Title: 2000 2.0 TRACKER 4 DOOR EXHAUST UNIQUE???
Post by: trackinstile on February 28, 2007, 06:15:11 PM
Hey there, time has come for my exhaust to be replaced.  The main pipe, muffler and tail pipe are shot.  It's a one piece system from the cat back.  Been trying to find it aftermarket and it's not easy, apparently 99,01,02,03 are diffrent than mine.  The stealership wants $500 give or take.  Anyone else have this problem??? ::)Dave

Called your local exhaust shop?

Does Calmini have one for your application?

Found one at NAPA for a lot less, and man what a diffrence.  I think the muffler baffles had been going for a while and created blockage, the pipes were cracked pretty bad as well.  I took i tout last night and has more bottom end grunt and more mid and upper range, it just revs more freely.  Also, it sounds a little better than stock, has a nicer note.  I'm not too huge on opening up 4 cylinders, just not one for the fart can effect.  But this is nice.  Can't wait to drive it more and see if my milage goes up.  Have fun!!! ;D

I picked up a 2.25 Borla muffler. nothing unique about it. Had it installed and it works and sounds awsome.

AAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!  IT'S ONLY BEEN ON LESS THAN A WEEK AND GETTING A RATTLING NOISE AGAIN!!!!  PUT IT UP ON THE LIFT AND THE PIPE BROKE INSIDE THE MUFFLER, WE'RE ORDERING A NEW ONE UNDER WARRENTY FROM NAPA.  I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN BEFORE. ::)
