Title: where is the switch for the reverse lights?
Post by: joezuki on March 01, 2007, 04:04:55 AM
I have a '92 JX with the o/d automatic tranny.  Took the truck for inspection & among other things the reverse lights don't work.  Bulbs are good, so I thought I'd check the switch.  Can anyone tell me where it is and the best way to get to it?

Well, on the manual, it's in the tranny.  Not sure about the automatic.

i have the 3 speed auto tranny in my 95....no reverse lights either....the switch is located on the transmission linkage near the tranny itself, its a small microswitch....the can be adjusted, but i have yet to have any luck with that....installing some custom offroad lights back there soon

I crawled under the zuk last night & I can't find any wires or switches anywhere on the tranny.  Is the switch on the side or top?  Will I have to drop the tranny to get to it?  If its on the side, passenger or driver side?  Sorry for so many questions, but I'd like too fix it right before trying to rig something. :(
