Title: how to change radiator?
Post by: 99Trackerconv on March 01, 2007, 05:14:05 PM
I had to buy a new radiator cause the old one has a pretty big hole in it.

How do I change it? More so how do I get it out of place bolt wise?
I know to take the hoses off but what else needs off before I get the rad out?

I seem to recall that the easiest way is to start by disconnecting the radiator shroud which let's you get to the radiator fan (4 small bolts).  Once you have these items removed, you can start on the 4 bolts that hold the radiator in place.

It may be neccessary to temporarily dismount the power steering resevoir. Mostly it's a matter of looking and unbolting until the danged thing comes out vertically.

I think that the AC condensor (if any) is mounted separately in front of the engine radiator, but I have slept many times since the last time I have removed a radiator.

took the hoses off, unbolted the 2 screws on the top and the 4 shroud pushpins and out it came with a little jiggling  ;D
