I am leaking coolant from where the tranny and engine come together... A freind said it is most likely the freeze plugs... head gasket was replaced not too long ago. Anybody know anything about doing this project?
-
Any possibility it's leaking out of a heater hose and seeping back to where it appears like some kind of another leak?

A heater hose would be alot easier than pulling a engine to replace the freeze plugs.
Lets hope that is all it is jerry, that will save us alot of time before moab.
-
jerry check your email

I will take a better look... The engine looked dry on top... I hope it is something easier!!!
-
get up on top with a brite light and realy double check . even have someone else look

Is my 65 lumen 6p Surefire bright enough???
-
don't blind yourself. you gotta drive at moab in three weeks
-
LOL! My wife hates that Toomey gave me a surefire as a gift....It will never get old to me showing someone how bright my little flashlight is...LOL! How does this sound? I can replace the heater hose and see if I still leak... iff so... pull the engine on friday! By the way... Where is the heater hose...lol

look at the firewall . you can see both and follow them
one goes to the tube that comes out of the waterpump the other goes to firewall
heater control valve then to the intake. theres also a couple small ones

I thought for SURE my head gasket went on my sami, but it ended up being a coolant hose that came to the back of my carborator. $1 fix. Look carefully, and make sure you know where that leak is comming from.

how bad does it leak?? find a little dutchman to put his finger in the hole
-
LOL... would that be safe? Not so much for the dutchman, but my vehicle... he could get all wrapped up in my driveline or something... The leak is bad enough that it bothers me... it has a slow constant drip....
