Has anyone done the rear locker in there V6 Grand Vitara?
-
I had a limited slip from Calmini in my v6 Vit and it was a proto type ( one of a kind ). It worked well but I broke a tooth on the pinion gear and it started clunking ...I feel that the v6 was too much motor for the small Suzuki ring and pinion turning 31x10.50 BFGs. I now have a Ford 9" and I dont think the 175 hp v6 can break it. The Ford 9 r/p is twice the size of the Zuk r/p. It was built by Currie and rated at 600 hp. The weak point is now the tcase u-joint on the Suzuki drive shaft. The u-joint will be way cheaper and easier to replace than the third member. Plus I now have Ford Explorer rear disk brakes and Lokar universal E brake. The rear end swap was not cheap but I feel it was inevitable. A ford 9 can be done for a lot less than Currie charges. Just my experience with a locker in the v6 Vit...Gary

I'm running an ARB in mine (for now).

You have any pics of it?
How much you pay and how do you like it?

no price - prototype - somebody on zookpower bought one and it did not fit from the calmini site and it did not fit his vit.
