Title: Flaming Hot Transmission Hump
Post by: Bobzooki on March 09, 2007, 07:10:31 AM
That title ought to get some looks!

I have installed an aluminum diamond-plate cover over my transmission hump - the boots for the shifters are bolted to this.  I have the Calmini 3" body lift.  When I'm wheeling it, that diamond-plate gets HOT!  Any suggestions, as to how to keep it from getting so hot?  I'm thinking hot air from the engine compartment is flowing over the top of the tranny, because of the 3" body lift.

Has anybody else encountered this?  What do you do about it?

Mine did this cause my tranny was low on gear oil, I added some it gets warm but not BURNING HOT!
