Title: rocky road is poopy
Post by: weaver on June 20, 2005, 10:14:25 AM
as i have already mentioned on other topics, i was all about finding out which would be better  -- calmini vs. rocky road...     so i ordered the rocky road lift,,.   they said it was in stock and said it would be sent out that day ,,, etc..............         well its over a week and they they still havent sent it and still are trying to catch up on their other orders before mine...........
what happened to it being sent out that day, or week even??    ohh yeah , the guy i keep talking to there is being a jerk...    you would think that if you give someone money they would be nice.. ::)

I don't like bashing any vendor but when it comes to sidekicks right now both of them SUCK! I have been waiting for my lift fromt eh "other" vendor for 4 weeks now!!! consider yourself lucky!

There is enough people on this site alone that can tell you how to build your own lift, and for much less.
A week isn't really that long.
A couple of weeks that turn into a couple of months is.
So Relax
Don't do
Blah Blah BlahBlahBlah
Blah Blah
Mmm mmmm M mmmmm

(I can't remember the rest)

ya my package is supposed to be 280 lbs.  :o Like to see the UPS guy hump that up the steps!  ;D

I'm really not bitter, just impatient. Every company I have dealt with the last 2 months has been behind on shipping (not just 4x4 parts) must mean the economy is booming or something!!!  8)

basically i wasnt saying that i hate rocky road or that they make shitty products,, from what ive seen these guys at RR are makeing high-qualtity gear, and all,,,,,,,,, i am not trying to start a battle like the prior calmini vs. gavin vs. RR......

all im saying is that when someone tells you that it is in stock and will ship out that day, you tend to believe them and when over a week goes by and they are no where near close to sending it you tend to believe another thing....                 i dont care if it was Jesus Offroad Products, ,, i would still be irritated.

I don't believe RR makes a single piece of the lift...they just source it from other vendors and away it goes...the body lift is from Sky, springs/struts from OME, shocks from Doetsch Tech. Dunno where they get the spacers from. Anywho once they gather it all in a box and send it to you you'll appreciate your new suspension...I really like the setup in mine :) BTW it took over two months for my lift to arrive last year :o

although I will be doing my own lift and probably never experiance the delay problems (except the delay of my own ass getting off the couch) I do agree if someone say " going out today" do it!!  you should not say it if it is not true and I think that is the whole problem of all companies in general they say whatever they want not what we need to hear.....

that said would you wanna hear "not a problem sir we will send that in  a month or two just send your money rright now an we will get on it right next month!"

I'm sure most of these places would be better off just telling the truth, "Well, we're a little behind so your product may not get shipped for a few days, expect 2-3 weeks delivery" <--I'd be okay with this. How about you? If your honest and up front with your customers, it always works out for the better. Everyone's Happy!  ;D

That would great, but even that would be stretching the truth for some of them...
