Lots of talk on axles at the moment and i have a question.
Been looking around for possible front axles to use.
I do need to measure my crown ring but am i right in thinking it is 8.8"s on the 10 bolt. on 5.12
Ideally I would like to find an axle that can take my kick/vitara front diff and fit it to the casing and 3rd member housing.
I see that Dana 30 or 35 is close also the 50 but im unsure has anyone got specs or know what will take this.
Im trying to do a live axle converstion on a budget (as normall) leaving my rear setup in place as i have upped this a lot to gain travel etc... im after a reliable axle rather than 40 inches of travel.
reason for staying with the stock vitara diff is i have an ARB that i want to use. the arb is 26 spline which i can have shafts made to fit.
Also i am based in the UK so the F150 that seems to be a good match are rare as rocking horse pooh over here.
Any help in my 2005 project that i need to complete by mid feb will be great cheers

or just run a samurai front end with spacers, and some axels from roadless gear or trail tough(they both carry the same now)that would be cheaper.
