Has anyone installed 5:13 sidekick diff gears into 2.0 ltr vitara diffs? Is itworth the work if your running 31's. I have sidekick diff gears but wonder if it's worth it.

i think ZR2 did this in his 2002 tracker.
-
I'm trying to go the other way, I want to put my 5.125's from my '01 into diffs from a '91 so I can spool the rear, loose the "shit-on-the-fly" and locker the front.

yes, i have the rear sidekick 3rd member with 5.13 and i have the front ring and pinion 5.13 gear on front!
-
so ZR2, is this gear switch worth it for 31's. I've already got the gears taken out of my 1994 sidekick. What do you think?

Just to clarify. you are running the ring and pinions from you '99-05 in the diffs from a '98 and older?
I'm a little s...l...o...w today :P , I just want to be sure.
Thanks
Scotty

right now i'm running stock 1999 chev tracker diff gears. I'm pretty sure they are 4.88
I want to install the 5.13 diff gears out of my 1994 sidekick.
I also heard that the 1991 4-door kick has 5.32 gears, but i'm sure that would be hard to track down.

I'm running 12-bolt 96'-98' Kick rear R&P (with ARB) in my 2000 GV. In the front, I'm running auto XL7 R&P on a Sammy rear diff carrier in a steel GV housing.
The XL7 R&P fit correctly without having to space over the carrier (spacing is similar of what you do with Kick gears in a Sammy).
I'm running 31's and an auto tranny. Yes, without the 5.12's it would be a slug.
