Title: front 4x4 wont work

Ok it shifts fine on shifter 2h truck moves 4hi truck moves only rear wheels neutral truck does not move 4 low truck moves only rear wheels.Front drive shaft is turning but front drives are not even with hubs locked what should I check first before ripping it all aprt?Any info would be great as I am a newbie :-[ :-[ :-[ simplest things first please :-[ :-[

i would check the shift linkage. its a start

What vehicle are you running? Have ya had it for awhile? When did it start?

I would just pull the hub off and make sure it has grease in it make sure its not rusted up. It happened to me when I bought my sammy. A quick cheap fix it is only like 6 bolts.

its not the linkage if the front driveline is spinning.  check the hubs.  if you pull the hubs off you can see the end of the axles . see if there turning. if yes fix hubs. no fix spider gears or lockers

just got truck it has been sitting for over a year.It is a 91 tracker two door if I new how to put a picture I would lol

If it were me I would say hubs needed to be lubed or I would at least start from their.

yup, the hubs may need redone.. One of the ones I got was junked up and wouldnt engage, Im just gonna rebuild it.

Yup. I would also guess hubs.
