Post by: Suzuki_Mark on December 27, 2004, 07:40:20 AM
I am a newbie here and have a 91 Tracker but need some advise on what is the larest 15" wheel and tire combination that will work in the truck.

A buddy of mine gave me some CJ wheels 15x8 right bolt pattern but wondering if any use?

thanks in advance
Merry Christmas

Many people have had good luck with 235/75/15's.

Welcome to the board!

I'm running 31X10.50's on my 15 X 8's.
Just depends on how much money and/or time you have, and how much you love the sawzall!

It will probably depend on the offset of the new wheel.

I have 15 by 8 wheels on my Tracker and with 215's they rubbed a little.  I did a 2" lift and now I am going with some 235's.

Some of the people here have used 235's with no lift and no rubbing.

I would bolt one on and check what kind of clearance you have.  You can also check the back spacing on the new wheels compared to the factory ones.

yea i have the 235 75 r15's on my 94 tracker with no lift they  fit good but i get a little bit of rubbing when the suspension is flexed and the wheel is turned bout 3/4 of the way but they deff make a huge diff in traction and ground clearence.... i have mine on a set of 15x8 mickey thompson classic 2's i think wit a 3 in back spacing not sure though

I ran 30x9.50-15 AT tires with no lift or cutting of fenders.

I ran 33x12.50 tires on 15x10 wheels with a 3" body lift and lotsa cutting and hammering.

Like Bob said, it's all about how much you love the Sawzall and BFH ;)
