I've never taken them off on a vehicle. The bolt is easy. But I simply can't pull it off. The hanes manual says to use a 2 prong puller. I have a 3 prong.. But it wouldn't work. It would get real tight then slip off.
Should I just try a different puller? Or are there any special tricks to get it off?

Whack the knuckle with a hammer next to the tierod shaft. It will fall right out.

it's dark out now. I tried that, but I guess I just didn't wack it hard enough. I'll give it a wack tomorrow.

so that meens you'll have to put your purse down...lol just givin u a hard time man.. just give her a good wack or two or three ...

I usually use two hammers, hold one to the back side of the knuckle then hit the opposite side with the hammer. The extra shock helps it pop out a bit easier.

To quote a good friend of mine "You gotta set your purse down and hit it" ;D

I find pickle forks wreck the rubber dust boot. wacking the knuckle works better.

All I use is ear plugs, oh ya and an air hammer :)
Seriously, I 've lost to much skin off my knuckles so I started buying air tools.
