Do any Suzukis have an inertia switch?
Maybe a 93 SideKick?
Just heard this question today and I'm sure thay don't have them.

I think I need a beer!
??? ???
I read a story about a person getting reended and the Kick died.
The officer on scene said it was an Inertia switch that caused it to die and not restart.
Any other Ideas what it could be?
Maybe knocked a wire off?

What it is , is the inertia switch is a safety feature that is installed on many cars and what it does is that it shuts down the fuel pump and it stops the gas from flowing in case of an accident to avoid explosions due to gasoline flowing after a crash...!

I've never heard of an inertia switch on a Track/Kick. A wire being knocked off or crushed seems more likely. Maybe even a fuel line getting crushed or kinked.

I was right. I did need a beer. Anyways, I couldn't imagine a vehicle that you would want to take off road having one of those switches. My brothers exp had one and it was pretty sensitive to the point that if he broke too quick or hit a rough spot on the road like a dip or railroad track, he would have to pull a panel off the inside rear wheel well by the fuel door and reset a switch. It would be o.k. to have one if you could disable it when you're on a trail.
