Title: how to get gas cap off with out key

so yeah i just bought a samari and there is no key to unlock the gas cap how can i get it off just pry i off and hopefully rebend the lip on the filler neck ?

usually you can just drill the lock mechanizm out. it's easier and less messy.

I just drill a hole in the cap (1/8-3/16) just beside the lock and put a small screw in the hole and it will work just like a regular cap.

Squeze the cap with chanell lock pliers.

what i ended up doing was putting a common screw driver in there and just stated poping pices out till i got to the actual piece that just screws in un screwed that and glued it to the top of the gas cap and bam new gas cap works sweet thanks for the ideas
