Title: I'm a Suzuki Samurai owner now!
Post by: Lazarey on April 08, 2007, 10:36:38 PM
Just wanted to introduce myself! After looking for a Samurai for a month (can't afford much), this guy said he would give me his!
So I am now the proud owner of a Samurai!  According to the VIN search I did online, it is a 1987 JK.  Right now I need a carb rebuild kit and a battery to get it running (hopefully that's all  ;))

This forum looks great, I'm glad I found it!

It is mostly rust free, with the exception of the passenger side floor board  which is rusting through.

As far as pictures go, I have dial-up internet so it's a very long process for me to post pics.  But I can probably borrow my buddy's high-speed sometime  ;D

Whatcha waiting for?  It's been days now. ;)

Don't forget to search the forum for problems with the Sammi carb (vent?) and fixes for it.

Sorry!  I just got a new job and I've been working constantly.  I haven't even touched Sammy in more then a week.  :'(

But I will post pics eventually!  ;D

I'm going to try and work on it this Sunday in fact!

Thanks for the interest!

you picked a good one to work on (fairly simple) and a good forum to join {really user friendly) . welcome aboard! you should be able to pick up a running used carb for around 120.00 and a new redline weber for around 300. Careful on the rebuild.
