Hey guys,
the heat shields on my catilitic (spelling?) and and the twin down pipe both are rattling for me.... would i have any problems if i just yank both covers off?
thanks!

no, when i toke mine off i didnt see any problems.

You should consider where you will be driving. There have been a few instances of cars parked in fields going up in flames when the heat from the cat set the grass alight.

I would just find a friend with a welder and have them make a couple of quick tacks on the heat shields to hold them in place. If you ever replace your cat the entire thing is coming off anyway. :D

but isn't the heat shield made out of a type of alum? that can;t be welded can it?

Nope. Stamped steel. Way cheaper than aluminum for the manufacturer.
Grab a refrigerator magnet and go check it out.
