I put on the bds suspension lift and now I have a clunk.I used the strut extensions that came with the kit. What happens is if I hit a hole and the suspension compresess it gives out a huge clunk. It happens on both sides and independantly. What I was wondering was all the posible problems that this could be.bad struts,cv joints, front diff hitting?Anything would help cuz I went out to play in the mud this weekend and it drove me nuts.

Thanks for the help again guys????? I thought maybe someone on " ZUKIWORLD" might know something about zuki's but evedently not.

How big of a bump are you hitting? It could be possible that you strut is compressing all the way...or maybe its as simple as maybe you didnt tighten something up good enough when you put the lift on

Yeah, you probably didn't do the install right. The coils might not be in their pockets right, strut extenders (worth a crap) might not be tightened correctly, or you're jumping the thing and bottoming out the strut.
Take out the strut extensions and see what happens.

mine does the same thing. I think that the strut is bottoming out! I have a 1.5" spacer in the front. Maybe I will just flip the mount and sell the extenders. Anyone know how hard it is to remove when due to the lock tight?

Have you searched the forum. I'm pretty sure that this has come up before, IIRC the struts were topping out.

Hello
yep the structs top out and also the inner cv joints are at there end to sorta almost to the point its binding. the strut ext. just do the flip it works just as good. just my 2 cents worth.

Put a 1.25" bumpstop extention and the cluck went away! I use all the strut now. the strut extentions are actually 2.75" and was binding the CV on extention, so I lowered the diff 1.5" it is perfect now.
