Title: 97 Automatic gear ratio

On a 97 Geo tracker what is the ring and pinion ratio?

now I have heard that 5.12's are in the autos with overdrive...

does yours have overdrive?

No I have a |removethispart|@ door with the 3 speed. Well actually It's my dads he just couldn't stand me wheeling all the time without him.

I was at petroworksthe other day ang Gary said that him and Thorly are working on a real header for the 16 valve. It looks alot like the 8v one ;D

The real difference in the two heads is the
shape of the exhaust port, 8V is rectangle
and the 16V is round, the 16V will be a piece
of cake to build a Turbo Header for   :)

My 97 3 speed auto had 4:30s in it.  I swapped them out to 5:12 for the bigger tires.

Really, hmm didn't know that,
I though the 4.30 came in the GVs
