the cup holders came out of a late 80 tercel, just had to drill a new hole in the metal bracket, and trim a tab off the cupholder, and it fit great. i still have to make a nice suround for it, cause its a little narrower than the space. im extremely happy with it though. no more spilled drinks.

The JLX has rear window switches where your cup holders.  I bought a console like yours from the wrecking yard, but I have yet to install it and relocate the switches.  I have been thinking of building a arm rest and puting them in it.

4njeep, I have a stick shift, and I think first, third and fifth would hit that cup holder.  Thats a great idea.

my sidekick already had two cup holders on the dash, but they are kinda useless.  I was planning on getting one of those console style ones but they are really hard to find, and people usualy want alot of money for them, being a suzuki owner im cheap :) the auto wreckers just gave me the tercel one. maybe i will still get the console one for the people in the rear. lol then i will have 6 cup holders.

how close is the stick shift to the radio when you are in 3rd? there might be enough room.

I was suprised to find out that here in Okinawa and a lot or most of the cars don't have cup holders or cruise control.  My van, Nissan Largo, has 2 cup holders up front but no cruise.
