Blargh,
Alright, I know little about the engine & parts of a vehicle... I know little about offroading, but I REALLY want to learn about it. Can you guys give me some suggestions on what to do? (EX: Oh go to blahblah.com they have good tips... etc.) I would take automotive in school but my high school does not offer it because it has no automotive worthy shop(being a fine arts school and all) but, I have taken the closest thing to automotive and the most I've done is take apart and put together a 4 stroke :\
any help would be greatly appreciated

go to barnes and noble, or walgreens, or wal-mart and pick up an issue of "four Wheeler" or "petersons 4-wheel and off-road" or both. they are great magizines and helped me out alot when I was getting into the 0ff-road scene...
also go check out your local 4-wheel club, I;m sure theres one somewhere near you...

What ever vehicle you drive buy a chiltons or hayes and next time something breaks fix it yourself. You'll have so much more pride in the vehicle along with confidence when it breaks you can fix it, Who knows maybe you'll evan take on a engine rebuild or tranny someday. Thats my take on it anyways.

Yeah . try and DIY and learn as you go, ASK lots of questions if you dont know or understand something, ZUKI peeps arnt like JEEPERS and will usually help you out ...OH and I dont mean all JEEPERS ;) thats my 2 pennys

IZook did a review of this book (http://www.izook.com/reviews/htms4x4/htms4x4.htm) a little while back. :)
I'm a big fan of the Suzuki SJ Enthusiasts Companion (http://www.amazon.com/Suzuki-Sj-Sj410-Samurai-Santana/dp/0947981349/ref=sr_1_2/702-4456477-2064863?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1177435662&sr=1-2)(bought mine from Ebay), but when I was looking for the actual title I found a list of Suzuki books over here (http://www.xs4all.nl/~haroldb/folders/books.html). Heck, I even have a DVD rip of the 'training' video that they used to show to SJ-410 owners in the UK. That needs to be copied to You Tube...
Just out of curiosity, what are you looking at buying?

You could also read all of the articles found here at ZUKIWORLD! They can be accessed through the header at the top. Archives and Gear Guide have some interesting, educational, and fun stories about the 4 wheel lifestyle.

John Richardson has had a few Zuks, he was one of the first in the UK to modify a Vit. Hes a good chap and a real enthusiast.

Join an off-road club. Often they're sponsored by a shop where you can rubber-neck and learn.
Go to the library and see what they have on off-roading.
