Let me go 1 step more and ask about kicks and trackers, the thing doesnt hold much fuel at all.

Let me go 1 step more and ask about kicks and trackers, the thing doesnt hold much fuel at all.

my '93 16-valve 4-door holds nearly 14 gallons and got 23.75 MPG on the latest tank of plain 87 octane.

I'm not sure about the Samurai but I think it is getting somewhere around 16-18 MPG.  I need to keep better track of the milage using the Garmin Street Pilot instead of the odometer...

Stock 91 samurai with 225/75 tires.....27-28MPG average city/hwy combined, although I have gotten as high as 32-33.
Stock 92 4 door sidekick, 5 speed, 225/75 tires, airbox replaced with K&N type cone filter, header....27-28MPG mostly hwy driving.

My 96 sidekick gets averaged about 28 MPG, mostly highway. City it's about 27. I calculated it 6 times and then averages them all, 28 is the average for highway.

with 235's on my 95 16v 3sp. auto tracker im getting roughly 25 mpg....no matter what, as long as im in 2wd....4wd kills the mpg's...i've gotten as bad as 40 miles out of almost a whole tank, but this was all 4low driving in crazy state trails and what not, also, i noticed a bit of a drop in fuel mileage when i installed my own home made cold air intake....i have 2" exhaust from my manifold back, and a cherrybomb turbo style muffler and no cat....gotta love michigan with their "no emissions testing required"

8 valve,5 speed,tracker on 31's gets 20mpg even. 2 door  only has a 10.6 gallon tank.
speedo off about 4-5 mph, tripometer off about 1/10 mile, so every 100 miles add 10 miles.

My '88 Samurai with 235's gets 23-25mpg on 85 octane.
I'll add that my other Samurai with 4" lift and 31x11.50 Swampers got 20mpg dead even. I also had a '90 Tracker on 225's that got about 25mpg until it chipped a valve, dropped down to about 13mpg.
