Hi Guys,
Since there are no more Suzuki specialists alive in Germany ;) I hope somebody from this forum can help me. The ECM in my '92 Sidekick 1.6 8V shows error code 24 (VSS). As far as I know this should only be a small reed relais behind the
tacho. Could somebody please tell me (on the picture) where I can find this VSS exactly??
Thanxxx!

I don't have the manual in front of me but just by looking at the picture I can see one trace that is questionable. The one with the burnt corrosion may be an open circuit. Test it out. That may be your problem?

You need to dismantle the clocks a bit further to get to the VSS, its screwed to the back of the speedo.
Like Eric says you have a burnt out track on the flexi circuit. That indicates a more serious problem. The VSS is a reed switch and shorts a signal from the ECU to ground. That signal should be current limited, in your case it obviously isn't so either the ECU has an internal fault or the VSS wire is shorted to the 12V power somewhere. You need to find the short before you replace the clocks/flexi circuit or it will happen again. Also check that the wiring loom and connectors aren't damaged.
