Title: Transfer Case t-sheet and bushing part #'s
Post by: 87Sam87 on May 02, 2007, 10:31:05 AM
Can anyone post the part #'s for the transfer case shifter sheet and bushing? My t-case is totally locked up.
BTW, since it's currently locked in neutral, is it simply a matter of replacing the the t-sheet and bushing to get it unlocked and running again?

Just call trail tough at 1-877-789-8547 if you call them real quick you can get them by tomorrow, try pulling up on the shifter real hard and see if you can shift it, if not remove the shifter and us a screwdriver to move the rods around untill the slots line up so the shifter will move side to side.

As mrfuelish suggested, you can get a new shifter sheet fast at TrailTough.

There is an excellent pictorial on how to unlock a transfer case and install a new shifter sheet at:

This is one of four articles on the topic that you can find by doing a search for shifter sheet at Ack's FAQ (the link is in my signature, below).

Hope this helps!

I appreciate the help guys. I was hoping to find out the Suzuki OEM part # so I could call and see if my dealer had any locally. I know the OEM's aren't as good as the aftermarket but I'm not %100 sure the shifter sheet is the problem with my T-Case and wanted a quick cheap one to pop in there and try out.
What's been happening is I'm feeling something pop out of gear and then back in at random times while I'm driving. I can hear what sounds like gear teeth rubbing on each other when this happens. Then last night while I was trying to diagnose the problem i shifted the t-case into neutral and now it's stuck there. I'm assuming the whole problem could be the shifter sheet but I'm not sure. I haven't taken the t-case shifter out and checked it yet though so I'll probably do that tonight.
   Again, thanks for the help.
