Title: Aluminium coil spacers?
Post by: hap on May 07, 2007, 04:31:14 PM
I am looking for a more durable coil spacer then the poly I have been using. Does anyone know of a aluminium spacer in production for our trucks?

Thanks

After having them on for under 8000 kilometres I have lost close to a half inch of lift up front. The spacers don't look in very good shape, so I can imagine how they would be after another 8000k.

No one knows of a aluminium spacer?

I wonder whether the only satisfactory metal in that environment would be stainless steel?  I'm thinking of corrosion.

i've easily lost that much all around, it's just the stock springs wearing down from the off roading as far as i can tell.
my spacers are showing no wear, they are made of the hard white plastic stuff, whatever that is.  maybe somebody who makes them can get you a few of those made up for cheap...

How about this....and it's a little closer to home than VTTR in Taiwan:

It's steel, though, not aluminum.

The problem with most of the poly spacers is the plastic is too soft. I can make you 1.5" or 2" spacers from poly that are much harder, stronger and will not sag. Look on ebay under seller name: hoepkers. The 2" look just like the 1.5". I've ran them now for a year on my 97 4dr. and they have no sag, squish, droop, cracks, or any deformaty at all. I will sell direct so just let me know. My direct email is hoepkers|removethispart|@charter.net. Check the forum, others have bought mine and see what they think. And sorry to say but red is the only color I have.
