Title: I'm upset
Post by: brace on May 11, 2007, 05:31:36 AM
I bought crown vic shocks, 1.5" coil spring spacers, strut spacers ( before I heard about strut flipping or reversal ) , 31's mud tires with white wagon wheels, and 2" body lift from Rocky Road Outfitters.  I have been waiting on the Rocky Road body lift for 3 weeks.  I called today and they said they had plenty in stock and it should ship out today or tomorrow.  I just don't understand that kind of customer service.

Just remember that next time there are other options like Sky, Calmini and others.  Sorry that you've had such a crappy experience.  Make sure that you post up some pictures of your rig when you get it done up.  Can't wait to see another built rig.

They've had some staff changes recently at RRO that might have set them back.

I think some places feel that since they are in a seller's market(way more buyers than suppliers) they can jerk their customers around as much as they want. There is only one Kawasaki/Suzuki motorcycle dealership within 100 miles of my town, and they are the same way. I ordered a carb rebuild kit for an '80 Suzuki 400, waited 8 WEEKS, and after seven or eight angry phone calls, the shop manager finally told me that the part was discontinued. Well, they had already taken my money, and the teenage parts counter chick refused to give me a refund on the grounds that "We don't allow returns on special order parts." Needless to say, I made quite a scene in the store trying to explain that I wasn't returning anything because I had never recieved the parts in the first place! I eventually got my money back, but it was harder than pulling teeth...

I ordered a set of IPF lights and bulbs from RRO because they were the cheapest and had them in stock.  If I had known what an ass that guy on the phone was going to be I would have gladly paid more for them somewhere else.  Poor, poor customer service.

I cant stress enough, TRAIL TOUGH SUZUKI STUFF, brent is the man this guy has spent hours on the phone with me walking me through my crazy build, always happy to help, his wife linda is great too she gets stuff shipped out immidiatly, i had to exchange a special order part made just for me, and i got the new one before he got the old one back now thats service, sure he is in oregon but its worth the wait, besides its way faster than RRO,

I think Oregon just rocks for Zuki parts.  Hawk Suzuki has always been great for service and getting things done quickly.  They have bailed me out of "I need this part shipped today despite the fact that you would have to have it ready in 10 minutes" quite a few times.  :)

Yesterday I ordered some parts from Sky and the guy was great to talk to on the phone.  Told me they were waiting on materials and it would be one to two weeks, might take a bit longer in case I wanted to order it from somewhere else.  Quality service all around.
