Title: tranny problem
Post by: kingzoo on May 16, 2007, 05:59:38 AM
For the last couple of days when i start my sidekick first thing in the morning it will hold 1st gear too long. After it shifts it is fine, with no problems and performs perfectly.
I just picked up a filter and fluid hoping it might do the trick.I planned on swapping for a 4 speed auto, but when I had it flushed it was trashed,so for now I gotta save this one.
  Any ideas?

I will definately use some additive, but from the looks of the filter i replaced i might have found the problem. That sucker was seriously clogged, and im pretty sure the tranny having trouble picking up fluid at first was the  problem.I have tried seafoam, and lucas and they both wotk, but i will probably use lucas
