I have a 93 Tracker,
and I want to run the 5.83 gear set in the rear,
however the 5.83's are still not available for the 12 bolts as we all know....(hopefully soon)
How much work is involved in converting to a 10 Bolt Diff?

Go to the junkyard and buy a 10-bolt rear third member and call it done.
You can't "modify" a 12 bolt to suit a 10 bolt. It's the design of the case, so it's easier to just get a used 3rd.

Trouble is, the 10 bolt 5.83's that are available are for the FRONT or a Sammy, not the rear of a kick, and will not fit in a rear 10 bolt diff..
