Title: front passenger side cv/diff seal??
Post by: museboy07 on May 27, 2007, 12:40:41 PM
Ok guys..I put my 2in coil spacers on yesterday and had to pull the passenger side cv shaft out of the diff for the control arm to come down enough.  When I was fightin the shaft back into the diff it tore up the seal that sits right on the outside of the diff and makes contact with the shaft.  Now I'm leaking diff fluid from that seal.  I went to the local parts store and they were a bunch of jackoffs who didnt know shit.  What is this seal called and where can I get it?  Thanks in advance..

I did the same on my '96 when I replaced a CV boot.

I purchased the seal from an independant after O'reilys argued that there was no front differential...

Anyway I have not yet installed it so I can't say for sure that I got the right part. The brand is Federal Mogul, part # 223553. Cost 16.99 USD.

I hope this helps.

Hey gravity..when you put that seal in did you have to pull the whole cv shaft out of the hub also?  Cause when I was puttin my spacers in the shaft wouldn't come all the way out of the diff.  And what did you use to get the old seal out and to get the new one in...thanks
