I sold my Sami (RIP little buddy) and purchased a 4 door kick, and wanted to give my impressions:
Pros:
* A/C
* Power steering
* VASTLY superior suspension. The trails are MUCH smoother, and I'm not thrown around in the cab. The comfort factor is MUCH better.
* More power
* Better (yes, BETTER) gas mileage (24 vs 19MPG)
* WAY more room
* Cargo is more secure from theft
Cons:
* The Sami could go more places (but the Kick is pretty close - just have to watch entry / exit angles more)
* Looks - the Samurai is way better looking than a 4 door kick.
* Aftermarket support for the Samurai is stronger, and there's more lift options (I want to keep IFS)
There's something more 'fun' about driving the sami (especially with the top off), but I'm way happier with the kick. So far, it's taken me down every trail the sami did, and it's a vastly superior daily driver. I drive it 80% on road, and 20% off.

I also love my 4 door kick,and after searching a bit i was able to locate loads of gear for the little booger.I love the ride as well as things like ac,power brakes,power steering,cruise,and mucho room.
As for the looks, i kinda like the look of my 4 door more,especially on a lifted zuki.the extra lenght just makes it look much cooler to me.

I drive an 88 sammi, and the ride is deffinatly crappy. Its the price you pay for a soild axle and leafs in the front. I like the sammi a lot, but when i ride in a kick/tracker its such a better ride, and it can hold the speed of traffic
Im all about soild axles, not so much IFS. But i dont think anything looks cooler than an SASed kick/tracker they just look bitchin. Its also everything the sammi wanted to be when theres a soild axle sitting under that front end.

The IFS works just fine off road. Pull the sway bar, and it articulates better than my sami ever did.
