Hey guys, just got back from a 1100 mile trip in my 95 Tracker 16v auto 2 door, and on the way back my torque converter lock up decided to quit working. Not that big a deal, and actually the cruise control is smoother without the locking and unlocking. Gas prices being the way they are though, I'd like to get it working again, as long as I don't have to pull the trans anyway. Manual says theirs several external components besides the actual solinoid and switch in the trans. I'm looking for the relay and can't find it. And any other things anyone can think of. With the converter locked engine speed drops about 400 rpm. Not a huge difference, but enough to get another 5mph cruising speed, maybe 72 mph at 3800 rpm. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I did do a search.

The same problem on the "Flea" ended up being the solenoid... easy fix, right inside the tranny pan

Thanks Quaddawg, after doing another search for lock up, I found a bunch of info. Looks like I get to change the fluid , again!
