Title: My gears??

Does anyone know what the gear ratio is on a stock 1997 Sidekick Sport 4 door? I see gear sets for sale and different ratios talked about, I'm just wondering what mine are. Thanks for the help. BTW it has a 5speed manual.

Check this link.  It lists the specs for a '96, which are the same as the '97 and '98.

Thanks. I assume since the diff. ratio is 5.125, that would be a 5-12 gear? Sorry to sound stupid but I do not know much about gears.

Yep, the drive shaft turns about 5.1 times to the tire turning once.
