Title: Broken Lugs
Post by: Yoak on June 04, 2007, 07:42:22 PM
Hey Gang,

I managed to break several lugs on my front passenger side this last week...

Seems as if one lug was loose and allowed the rim to rotate...and thus weaken the other lugs around them....when I tried to tighten one the was visibly loose it broke of....I have since removed the tire from car and after inspection they will all need to be replaced....

Any Advice here, should I replace them with replacement bolts or should I just replace everything?

At least change the five lugs and lug nuts.

Just change all five lugs and studs, they are cheap.

ya change 'em all.  Its easy on these trackicks.  The studs are on the drums and rotars

So I take it that this is a local auto parts item?

Most major chains have them, but they are an ODD size: 12x1.25mm. I've had to replace a few when I first got my Tracker. I always use nickle anti seize on them now. No problems.
