its the 3" suspen. by clamini on a 94 sidekick

Don't listen to them, you really do need it.
-
why they were pounding it in with a hammer, was yours this hard, i really dont wana pull a drive shaft, so i should go have them finish the job??
-
The drive shaft is only 4 bolts. (14mm if I remember correctly). It shouldn't take 30 minutes if you have never attempted it before. But if you dont want to get dirty, they should of installed it with the lift. So they should do it now.

hey if they said it waould cause binding, because of how tight it was should i still do it??? calmini said im the only rig that dosent have it in.
reply soon thanks

The only binding that can be at that end of the driveshaft is if the yoke binds on itself. This shouldn't happen unless you've got too much lift.
I had this problem on a sami before, on the front end, and it was because my pinion angle wasn't right after a spring over.
-
it might be the wrong size spacer, I got some for my samurai that were to thick and cause things to bind up on uptravel. I would go under there see how much your shaft is out, and get a spacer close to that size, if yours is that size, then toss it in and no worries...
-
are you trying to put it at the top of the driveshaft or the bottom?
-
alright, i stoped by cascade offroad again and they called calmini right infront of me. the spacer wont fit right now its suppose to fit at the bottom of my back drive shaft, calmini said they have never seen this, they told me to keep flexin the setup and let the coils and shocks settle, come back then see if the spacer is needed, if not toss it you wont need it. i flexed the kicker out to day and looked at the drive shaft and still had plenty shaft in. ill keep updated on if it works or if i break a drive shaft, lets hope its number 1.
-
Now that i realize you're local, you've gotta bring it by so i can check it out. Believe it or not, i've never seen the calmini lift in person.
-
how thick is it?
-
It's a 3/4" spacer. The shop likely doesn't have the upper V-bar dialed in. Ask them for the angle measurements coming off of the pinion flange and the t-case. They should be the same. You will likely find that they are not.

i dont know what they are doin, im not to good with specs and stuff on the sidekick. i know if it breaks theyll fix it. but ya ill try to get some pics of the drive shaft unflexed and flexed. this week end. how long did you guys go untul you did the alignment, calmini said not to till the coils settle because it will be a waste of money. any info on this???

My coils are still "settling"... Since 2003. I think I need new coils, or coil spacers at this point.
