Title: Need a body lift
Post by: slade11_98 on June 14, 2007, 12:25:27 PM
I cannot find a body lift smaller that 3" on the net for my 97 Automatic Geo. Im looking for a body lift that I do not have to extend any of my shifting linkage. Some where around an inch, inch and a half is what I would like to have. If there is not any type made specially for a Geo , can I just get some poly spacers from somewhere like Autozone?

Thanks!

There are 3 places making a 2" body lift for trackers and sidekicks.

The body is attached to the frame with studs welded to the body, not accessible or removable bolts. You need special sleeve nuts to extend them. They're not long enough to add in an additional bushing or spacer, maybe .5", but that's it, and why bother...

My '96 kick has a 1.5" lift that was originally a 3" lift for a heep. These were just round spacers 3" thick that were cut in half on a band saw. The factory bolts are just long enough to still connect. Sorry, no pictures available at this time.
