im have 2 sets of dana 44 and ford 9ich axles. i want to put them under my 92 tracker. im trying to do this on a budget. my buddies dad said he can make me 4 links to what i want them for cheap. i dont know what kind of spring is should use or were to measure what this is gonna be my first fabrication try and any thoughts or help would be way appriciated thanks for the help

what are the 44's out of, they may have the diff on the wrong side for a tracker, you need right side diff. as for spings I've heard that 4 door Kick rear springs work well all the way around

the diff is out of a 74 dodge power wagon however i think it wasnt the orignals. the diffs on the 44 are off set to the passanger side. my problem with leaf springs is that i want articulation and im afraid if i have leafs that wont happen?

Oh leaf springs will flex out just fine.....

You just have to set it up right, and use the right springs.
Do you intend for this to be a mostly off road rig? Or will it be a DD also?

its gonna be more off road but maybe ill drive it 5 miles to work at a top speed of around 35-45 its only gonna be drove on road in emergencies like when the wifes car breaks or when i wanna go mudding close to the house other than that not a dd

well then the sky is pretty much the limit for what you want to do for the suspension.
Do you want to go with the 4 link or the leaf springs? or is that decision still undecided?

im not sure ultamitely what will make up my mind is cost+functionality=decision also the difficulty of doing the project its self is another im not sure on the 4links where i want what or how long or were to even start i guess ill just put the frame on jack stand to where i want it to ride and start from there. thanks for all the ladies and gentle men im in iraq right now with the marines and i wont be home for 2 more months but when i do ill post progress reports and pictures
