Title: lg80 parts, what fits my samurai?

hello everyone! i can put my hand on a 1980 lg 80,i was wondering will the third member and transfercase are interchangeble with my 88 samurai (carbs,has the 12mm bolt on the diff,single brake line in the back)   thanks

I don't think so. AFAIK the LJ80 transfer case is different, from what I hear its not as strong either. The third members are definately not interchangeable with Samurais. They do give a very good gear reduction on a 410 though  ;D. I don't think that you'll find that very little will interchange.
What condition is the LJ in? they are quite sought after these days.

thanks guys,now i know not to bother with it! their was mostly the drivetrain left out of it .do you think my stock 3:73 gear will be ok with the 31' i'm gonna throw on? i will be mostly crawling in the bush with it
