Alright,
I got a coil set up for my sammy and i need to ask a few things. I am going to run 35's so im going to beef up my axles, Im already changin the gears in there out for 5.38's so I figured Id rebuild them. So far this is what im thinking;
1)New R&P
2)Rebuild
3)Calmini axles
4)Birfeild rings
5)Side gears
So thats what im looking to do with my axles. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks.

you can foget the birfields with 35's, go over to roadless gear and look at the new front axels for only 580.00 ;D
-
might wana think about droping a tracker rear third in your sammy rear end

If there going with new gears he could keep the sammie rear diff, you get more ground clearence and the strenth is about the same, A friend of mine runs 5.83's in his with 4.89 low range with 33's and have never seen him break anything and yes he does rock crawl ! What coils did ya get and where abouts in Whittier do ya live?
-
I got coils from rocky road and i fabricated the control arms and bracketry. I live between beach blvd. and first street. sorta on the border of la habra and whittier. you from around here?

YA, I was born in Whittier, grew up in quada lahabra, owned a home there for years off of walnut just so. of w. blvd, wife went to w. high and so did my grand parents(went there with tricky Dick)and so on, brother inlaw was the mayor of la Habra, I went to L.h. high, most the family moved only have four left real close to there,I make it down there once a year or so, would like to finish up my zuk a little more and make a run with justruns down there (yahoo club) or tds? I lived in big bear for four or five years befor moving to oregon.that place is hard on axels(b.b.)but worth it if you get the chance.

I have the RRO kit. I'm running the 6.1 t-case gears and 5.38 rp on stock axels. No problems yet :P If I had to do it all over again, RRO now has the kit available for Toyota axels. ;)

I'd go;
Stock kick for the rear end.
Custom kick rear center section with sammy knuckles for the front.
Trail Tough 'Double Tough' birfields.
Custom chromoly axles.

hey Nate .....you dont know what an idea you gave me just now ..... ;D

I wish there was a sammi around here. I would be all over it in a heart beat.

I wonder how a Sammy with Sidekick axles (hybrid front-stock rear) would look like.....and if there would be any problems with the axle width and 33's at full suspension(YJ leafs) compression ............
-
I got the 5.38's in my sammi, and the 35's every thing is fine. Perfect gear ratio for 35's. Stock axle's are holding up good, it also matters what tires you are running, I have dunlop mud rovers and they are considerably lighter in comparrison.
Make It Hert!!!!!

i think tracker axles are about 3 inchs wider than sammys.  and sammys have an offset rear diff so the tracker diff might have to be retubed and use stock sammy shafts.  the rear end should only cost about 100 bucks to build.

So you mean that Sidekick axles(F-Hyb,R-Stock) cant be used in a Sammy ? too wide heh ?

I have 2 sammy buddies here in Idaho which run this setup.
Sidekick rear ends, with hybrid fronts.
(thats where we came up with the idea to put it under the Kick in the first place.)
Run the 6 inch extended jeep fender flares and it works great!

Yes ,I like the idea very much.The only problem is that here with such set up,I wont pass the MOT..... :(

Avoid the pain and the high dollar axle band-aids and throw some Yota axles under there. You will be glad you did ;D
