What should I blow a wad of cash on next? ??? ???
Brent has a good deal on a rebuilt TC with gears, I need my TC worked on so for that reason this is a good deal.
On the other hand.......
I have been looking at his YJ conversion for the last few years. I seem to think I need a little more wheel travel. That and I want a better ride so it is all good in the end.
Besides, I am about due for new tires on the toy any how. ;D
Gotta do something for the toy as it is getting jealous of the coin I have spent on the truck. Besides the Smarty does not work on my Zuki. >:D

I recommend gears. Just buy the whole case and save yourself the trouble....
Tires are pretty easy to come by. You can get those later.

I have those gears in mine, that is one of the best mods you can do to it,just change out the oil they give you in a couple of weeks and put some mystic gear oil in it and your good to go. if you want a better ride cheap get the rocky road rears up front kit r.u.f. and some used rear springs from trail tough and it will help a bunch.

best money spent would be on a new hydroisolator. ;D

Nah. I've seen a hydrosolator re-build post out here somewhere. Just do that yourself and spend the money on high-flow muffler valves.

I say the money is better spent on some synthetic blinker oil. It should really help the cornering. ;D
I would go with Gears. You are going to want lower range for the bigger tires anyway. :)

I already have dual high amp hydrosolators. One is a high torque unit while the other is a high RPM unit, wanted the best of both worlds. As for the high-flow muffler valves, I have a custom valveless DOHC block that makes the muffler valves useless in this situation. And I replaced the problematic blinkers with a one off wig-wag setup. >:D ;D

Now to be serious. I already have the gearing, the TC has a set of RockLobster 4.16 gears and the axles have 5.12's in them with the rear being a TT Hybrid Axle housing. And I already have most of the pieces to do a rear spring up front and a CJ spring in back setup. I guess I should post something on how the rig is built but the sig. section tapped out when I was filling the specs on it out so I just made it short.
The gears are less than half the price of going the YJ new tire/wheel route. I do need the new tires as the Swampers are going on ten years old and are starting to show their age. But then again the TC needs new seals and gaskets so it needs to be pulled apart any way.
Maybe I should just get off of my lazy butt and install the 1.6 and just go have some phun with it. ;D
