it's more like 2050   but there is a difference in tin top or soft top or soft top with a fiberglass top on it, some guys get there's down to 1700 with driver, mine is just over 3000 with driver, winch, bumpers, big tires, ect.

mine's the convertible stripped of just about everthing i could (not top, carpet, back seat, etc.). i just want to get a beginning weight and an end weight. so a close approximation would be around 1700?

Don't even ask how my 95 Kick weighs.
With everything Calmini had to offer for it,  by it's self, weighs in at 3500lbs :o
but it does have the best of the best offered on it. ;D

Well if yours is stock and has no spare tire, doors, carpet, or back seat, and is a non jx model with stock front seats and tires, I don't see why you could not be near 1700 lbs.

You could always drive to a scale for big trucks, shipping companies sometimes will have them outside, and they're free to use at night.

another option is go to a scrap yard scale,  with some scrap,  they usually weigh ya befor, and after so they know what to pay you...

2930 is the gvwr of a sammy,  thats how much it can weigth fully loaded legally...
