Title: Idle speed

When I come up to a light and stop my idle is about 1500 rpm while I sit there it comes down to 900 and it happens warm or cold. Any ideas ???

I'd check the throttle linkage and make sure it's not binding or sticking.  If it's sticking, carb cleaner will work well on it.

Other than that, Throttle Position Sensor maybe.

What year & trans do you have?

Maybe the VSS in the speedo head
