Welcome to the board. :)
I say the 6.4:1 or higher if you want to be able to do 65. Both the 6.4:1 and 8:1 gear sets have the same high range, so the only real difference is the low range. Technically they are set to bring 35" tires back into stock gearing in high range, but you might want to run a little higher RPM then stock at those speeds. Even then, don't expect to much on a hill. A 5.8:1 should bring you back to stock gearing for a 33" tire, so that might be more then enough for you.
Do a search on the board on Transfer Case VS Gears and there are a couple of discussions on upgrading your gears instead of just going with lower transfer cases. There are good arguments for both.
If you really want to run at highway speeds though, you might want to look at a 1.6L conversion to get that extra 30hp.

You waited approximately 3 hours and 2 minutes and now your hating on the members? Simmer down is right!
With the Sami t-case you have more gearing options than the dana 300 t-case. Check the faqs for specs on sammi's, 31" tires and going 65 mph. I am sure there are several guys who have done the math and the work to get it "dialed in". I don't think the 4:1 will give you enough reduction in high range to keep it going 65, and I am not sure if the 6:1 has a "lower" (greater reduction) high range. Check Calmini and Trail Tough for specs on their gear sets. Someone will post the specs or links to it.
Be patient grasshopper and you will truly enjoy this form. The members rock and there is a ton of info for all. Welcome!! ;D

Welcome, previous jeep/GM owner.
Did you just buy this thing, or what?
30" tires would look pretty ridiculous and may be somewhat unstable if you're running 8+ inches of lift.
You'd be better of regearing the thing and running the 33's all the time for stability's sake.

the gear sets from calmini give you both high and low reduction.

Welcome Zukbrother and don't fret if response to your questions take more than a couple of hours. Most of these guys work or school all day. When I first posted on this board a few years ago...I came on a little too strong myself and got silence....These are some of the best wheelers in the sport but they don't let there 4x4 expertise go to there heads. We don't talk sh_t and we don't disrespect anyone no matter how newby the question. Suzuki 4x4s are great rigs with unlimited potential. Some of us have gone through all the other brands of 4x4s and are now DIEHARD ZUK FREAKS....we all have the EVIL SEED growing in our souls...
I also drive a sami, 8" SPOA, shackle reverse, on 33x11.50x15 True Tracs with a 1.3, Webber, header, 4:1 transfer. I dont drive 65 often because light Samis way up in the air with big tires are not all that stable...but they are fun to drive ;D The stock axles will get a lot of stress with 33s ( and the birfields ) especially with power steering ( if you have it ) If you dont have power steering 33s will be hell in the big rocks. Going up hill with 33s and stock 1.3 will be slow going...sometimes 2nd gear on long grades at elevation. I'll leave the gear questions to others more expert in that area. Welcome to the disease...Gary
