When you get it figured out make sure you post some pics and explain what you did. I will be installing my 3" Calmini BL when I get home from work in a couple of weeks and was wondering the same thing. Cheers

Me and my Dad cut the steering bar and weld a piece of tube in. Worked great. If I get a chance I will take pictures of it tonight.

I did similar. I used round bar the same diameter as the ID of the steering tube and welded that in.
-
How much did you extend the steering tube? Does it tell you in the instructions? Pics please.

my 2" bds body lift came with some small spacers to go on the rag joint that were only 1/2" thick at the most.

Hey guys thanks for the info ..i was actually able to install my 3 inch body lift without any mod the the steering link ...it worked out good.. no problems at all with the body lift...So i take it out to pismo beach last weekend to hit the dunes and my problems grew worse... my zuk would not engage in 4wd ... i was sooo pissed .. drove all the way out there and no 4wd ...so im hoping its just my hubs not engaging and not a transer case problem.....other than that i also installed ;D Pro comp Mud terrains 30x 9.5 15... they are awesome ...i could go a lil bigger butwith these tires i have absolutely no rub ..and is pretty quiet ... ill post some pics soon .... ;D

my zuk would not engage in 4wd ...
Are you sure that the lever isn't fouling on the body. Did 4wd engage before the lift?

I would make sure that what ever you fab up that it is S T R O N G!! I would hate to be driving down the street and not have steering when I needed it.
-
well my 4wd lever does not hit the sheet metal... in the kit they actually supplied the lever extension and i bent it the way the directions say .. so when i put it in 4wd my light pops on the dash that im in 4wd but i dont hear the click of the hubs engaging.. so maybe i have bad hubs? any body ever have hubs not engage ?

any body ever have hubs not engage ?
Its fairly common on hubs that don't get used often. Usually its just a case of cleaning and regreasing. Check out Ack's FAQ
