Title: Has anyone done anything with the hole above the strut
Post by: RJkick on July 30, 2007, 07:53:03 PM
Every time I hit a puddle water comes up and my battery gets corrosion.  Any ideas on stopping the water flow?  Battery box, rubber or sheet metal cover over the hole

any ideas would be good

I have a X90 with a 3" body lift....plus. I got some thin sheet metal & cut out a plate to seal the exposed area where the strut was lowered. I then hammered the area flat & drilled two holes & used one of the stock holes that was there. The three bolts (total) work well & look clean to hold down the sheet metal sealing the area.. If & when you get rid of the stock air box & install a custom (K&N type) air filter the hole you talk of is a bigger problem. If you want I'll send a pic. of what it looks like under my hood. Hope this helps.
