Alright I know this is a common topic but when I went to les schwab with my dad the other day they said p215/75/15 was the max tire size and maybe p225/75/15 with trimming. also that a 7'' rim was definately the biggest rim I could get. Now les schwab is not the main problem now my dad won't let me get p235/75/15's cause of what les schwab said. any support or ideas I could use to convice my dad would be appriciated. Maybe pics with p235's on a stock trac/kick. my tracker is a 96 if that makes a difference. Has anyone ran uniroyal liberator a/t's on a trac/kick thanks. And also to those of you who have ran p235's on a stock track/kick how did you get the tire shop to put them on? sorry for all the questions but I need advice.

Yep, no problem fitting 235's at all. and this is with a really far offset on these wheels.

But when i had the stock wheels, I never had a problem. It definitely gives it a tougher stance.

I believe that 235s will fit. A guy that used to be on this board had Hitech 235 retreads on a stock '93 2dr.

I can tell you that 225s will definitely fit using stock rims. I'm running 225 Dunlops on my '96 box stock Tracker.

Of course 235's fit.
I have 235/75/15's on my bone stock white tracker in both photos.
-
the only thing is that the rears will rub just a bit if your at full flex....other than that no problems at all, i had the hi-tech retread 235/75/15's on my tracker before i put in the coil spacers
-
If anything, a 235/75 is more accurate! I found with my 235/75's my spedometer was much closer to my Magellan GPS...

I fit 235/75/15 on my stock 95. I've run both Firestone MTs and BFG ATs on 7" wheels. Both rubbed when flexing but the MTs were worse. The amount of rubbing depends on the specific tire & wheel combo. And like UnCivilized, my speedo checked with GPS is now dead on accurate!

ok that is hot a kick with a bikini lady in a river bed and a dog. just change the lady too a hot asian and that is my pic choice.....my wife is asian so you understand...oh and i run hercules terra trac mt that measure 9. something width and 29 inches tall on stock alluminum wheels and a 2 inch spacer lift. the only rubbing is on the front tires at the back side on the frame.. other than that there is no issues at all. and it runs alot nicer than stock size.
-
Yeah i forgot to add that. In extreme flex the rears will in fact rub. I didn't think about it since mine is so stock i never rock climb or anything to extreme. And it happens so rarely during just daily driving.
-
235's on stock rims rub the frame. But can be adjusted at steering stops located by steering link on each side of the frame.
-
;DI have two sets of 235 75 15 on stock rims I have no rubs or other tire problems.
-
If you can find a set of stock Samurai wheels, they have .5" less backspacing(3.75")(stock is 4.25") setting the tire that much further from the frame. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it helps.

What vehicle are those wheels from? I've seen them on some Ford F150's, but not sure on year/model...
BTW - that purple looks cool in the sun ;)

Those wheels came off a Tracker we bought for parts but I've been told that early model F150 wheels will fit Trackers! Thanks on the purple!

I had absolutely minimal rub on the frame at full lock with 235-75 Dueler M/Ts on my stock '96. All you'll get is a little shiny spot. The pluses way outweigh that little negative.
Then put some small coil spacers in and you'll be gold.

Thanks again for the info but I decided on 225's on 8 inch rims with 3.75'' backspacing. The way the tires are stretched out looks sweet. they are on solid, clearcoated aluminum rims. It looks so sweet. I would like to post pics that I have but I can't figure it out so if you guys want to see my rig someone has to help me post my pics.
-
That's the exact set-as mine that i threw up pictures of. It's true the tires look wide as hell on those size wheels.
-
I run 30x9.50x15 with 8" rims on both of my Trackers so 225's will fit for sure
-
I am convinced. I will be getting some 235s on the kick soon.
-
tires first...then the lift....then the gears......and then......and then....and then.......and then......
-
When will it end
-
I had 235/75's on my Sidekick too. It rubbed a little bit on the frame in the front when making extreme left hand turns. I had a 1.5" suspension lift too so it didn't rub at all in the back.
-
When will it end
If and when it does(ya, right), You just start another Zuk Project ;) ;D
-
Might be a dumb question but how about 235/75R 15's on a stock 87 sami & rims? I'm looking at BFG radial All ter. or Mud Ter.
-
They rub a bit on the front bumper, but you can trim that off without a problem. :)
-
Thanks

Sorry, don't want to hijack, but did those 30x9.5's fit with no lift/trimming? I'm looking at treadwright's $55 mudders http://treadwright.com/Tires-30x9_50R15_MUD-P10.aspx (http://treadwright.com/Tires-30x9_50R15_MUD-P10.aspx) right now... I figured I'd have to do something to get them to fit.
For anyone else looking, the regular 31x10.5's are all on for $55, too.
Thanks,
-Al.

I did it. Today I went to Discount Tire and they said that there computer was showing that 235s would not fit. I told them that the guys at Zukiworld said that they would. So they test fitted one and it fit perfect, all of the guys working in there started cheering like they were amazed. The tires look awesome. It really makes it look tough. I will post pics tomorrow.
Thanks for convincing me to do it.
-
They will fit! i just bought. 31'' for my kick with 15x8 rims. u may need to do trimming on ur front bumber for when u trurn. i am doing trim all around just for kicks to give it a beefer look.
-
yeah i cut like 9 inches off the bumpers and inner fenders.
-
Thanks i was windering that too, because i have a set of 225's laying around but i wouldnt think they woould fit. i really miss my tracker, my mom wanted me to get a newer car for going to college so we winded up with a 2003 jeep wrangler sport. i like the tracker better. my dad bought the tracker from my mom so i'm going to make sure he keeps it untill i get back so i can buy it back, hopefully if it's still running ;D

Stock on 235/75/15 Pep Boys Dakota M/T (made by cooper).
I run them on street, mud, snow & ice, and they perform wonderfully in all these conditions. NO rubbing - stock wheels:

On 1.5" OME Springs:
More flex, better ride quality. Great way to spend $800 if you have it.
