Checking to see if anybody here's using the Corolla carb as mentioned |removethispart|@ North Coast Offroad. Looking for opinions/options for stock carb replacement. Thanks, Tom.

Yes I put one in. I could not get a rebuild kit for the stock carb here in Canada. I just went to the local parts store and asked for a rebuit carb from a 78 corolla with a 1200cc engine. I installed it like in the article you read at the NCO site. Mine is reverse mounted and it runs great on and off the road. Uphill it will not stall out. On very steep downhills it stumbles a bit. It is an easy install with a dremel to hone out the stock spacer. I also re-used the stock throttle bracket with some creative bending. The only thing I bought other than the carb was some metric studs to mount it with.

Thanks Ian, did you notice a power gain or any difference?

It felt a bit better on the road but not a huge difference. I also like the manual choke which works way better than the stock one ever did.
