Title: time for front brakes any sugestions?
Post by: JoeCool on August 01, 2007, 09:52:58 AM
So it's time again for new brakes on my 90 2dr kick any sugestions on what to buy that's better than the Autozone speacial? I do a lot of mountain resort driving so heat resistance is a good thing, is there any way to over size rotors and callipers while I'm at it? Also looking to move to rear discs in the future what advice can you point out for that. (yes I've seen the spidertraxx units)  Does anybody know if the calliper mounting holes are the same for the larger vented rotor combo from later units are the same as mine or would a change in knuckles be nessacery?   NMc

94 and earlier 4dr calipers will swap over to a 2dr kick... Major difference in the mounting of the front calipers in 95 and up.

I've got '92 4dr brakes front and back in my SWB. I had rear discs for a while but getting the parking brake to work was a PITA so I went to the bigger LWB drums.

Good prices on drilled and/or slotted rotors with Zinc coating on Ebay.  Bling-bling. ;D

Has anyone run these?  How do they work and hold up?  Thanks ;D
