I've looked to buy a front skid plate from my local GM dealer.
The price: 838$ CND :o
So, after some search, I've found this:
http://www.masterkit1.com/
They build some parts for Tracker, Vitara etc.

Nice find, are those prices Canadian or US?
It would be nice if they would put up pics so you can see what your getting. The combo kits have me a little confused.

Old thread, but probably worth following up.

I think I will receive the first one.
About the price, I don't know is the US price is in US dollars.
Just ask here: pierreg|removethispart|@masterkit1.com

There's a place in Israel that makes full belly pans for these Suzukis.
Asfir? I think it is. Had my eye on it for a while but never had the $$$.

Got your plate yet? Curious as to quality, ease of install, access to drainplugs, etc.

I've installed my plate last week-end.
It looks very strong.
Relatively easy to install.
Almost all bolts screw in existing holes, execpt two, near the radiator support.
The plate starts high from rear of front bumper to protect the radiator and stops at crossmember where back of front tabs are bolted.
There is no drain plug.
MasterKit1 suggests to lift one side of the truck and lets the oil flows on the plate.

I've installed one from GM under the t-case.

The Masterkit skid looks a little thin and needs some strengthening. I don't know why you would you need to drill holes to mount it. Here you go:

The AFTERMARKET4X4 '99 on up front Vitara, Grand Vitara, Chevy Tracker Skid Plate is definitely going to be the BEST alternative to the OE skid, built better than ANYTHING on the market, and it's even CHEAPER at and introductory price of $129.99 and suggested retail of $149.99 - $159.99. It also works with ALL lift kits on the market and even the kits which drop the differential.

Haven't orders the Masterkit. Kind of glad. It looks like it's a bit lacking around my very vulnerable aluminum front diff. Just put a big inviting post here when yours is ready, because my Track is definitely ready.

Nevermind. Found the other thread. Will be PMing to arrange payment.

Hello! My name is Pierre Gingras and I am the sales and marketing director at www.masterkit1.com .I do not usually participate in forums, but I just could not let this one fly any longer. It is neither accurate nor fair to say that our skid plate is not strong enough or lacking anywhere especially when you have never seen one to boot. It is re-enforced with a one inch metal plate welded at the center of it and does not lack in any way, shape or form. Our costumers rave about it, and they would know since they are using the product. I am not going to start a feud here or anything, but please before stating something make sure you know what you are talking about. Thanks. I am always here to answer your question if you ave any: pierreg|removethispart|@masterkit1.com
