I haven't had time lately to adjust the valves in my motor, and they've been makin some racket. So decided to use a shop next to my dads work. I figured what the hell, not all shops can suck right. Well so I thought, it was probably just an accident but it still leaves me without a vehicle tomorrow, plus they can do a free oil change now. But this picture is the back of the valve cover where i found the oil leak.
Retards.....first and last time I use a shop.

I dunno how some of these monkeys (and probably too high an evolutionary state to categorizize them) manage to keep from getting a slug in the ear.
My MIL took her car into a shop for some "routine maintenance" before a road trip. 100 miles in, the rad hose bursts. I'm convinced some ahole ran a razor across the hose so they could get another "visit". To me, stranding a 50+ woman on the side of the road 100 miles from home is a hanging offense.

Ahh I see it now, had to
down load the pic and view
it in reduced size, it's the
area between the distributor
and the valve cover :)
Ya that is a DUH

Well i got my tracker back yesterday. I can honestly say I was completely wrong about this shop. The guy Paul felt so bad he wasn't even going to charge me. He changed my oil also. I asked him to see if he could look into my hard starting problem, and he said sure. I was over at the shop with him for about 3 hours. He thought it was a fuel problem, so he hooked up the pressure guage and found that my fuel pressure wasn't building fast enough. He pinched the return fuel line off and the pressure flew up. Turns out I guess it was a stuck regulator. But the engine was warm so it was hard to tell. Went out there this morning and she fired right up. He didnt' charge me for all the trouble shooting he did and he totally cleaned up all the oil that the engine leaked the other day. He didn't want me to pay him for adjusting the valves or any of the other work. I told him i was paying him at LEAST the valve adjustment, and he said ok. So for 65 bucks I got a hell of a deal.

It's really good to hear of a honest shop like that. I wish they all were that way. Every time I have takin my car to a shop(maybe 3 times in my life) they have always either screwed up, broke something, or just done a cheesy job. I had a tire shop put my old car on there lift without looking one time. They hit the exhuast, bent it,and broke bolth my corvette ramhorn manifolds. The guy actully said it was my fault because the exhaust hang down to low. It was less than 1" below and inside the framrails. He refused to pay for it. then months later when one of the tires got a flat he wouldnt warranty it because it diddnt say the store name on the side. I showed him my reciept but he said it was fake. I will never go to big O on lancaster again. rant over.....
