Yes--I swear that I just reviewed past threads. I went 15 pages back--and man, some of those threads listing problems can really SCARE you, you know?
Anyway, I humbly and pitifully request that you confirm that I got this right, and that you answer any questions. And remember that there's no such thing as a stupid question--only inquisitive idiots like me.
No off-roading. Just trying to make the thing more macsculine-looking so I don't have to paint it pink and give it to my wife:
1) 2-door 95 Tracker, got 205/75/15s on there now.
2) I've read that I can go to 235/75/15, and that the 235 means almost 29". I can do this without any mods to the vehicle at all, correct? So what do the current 205s measure?
3) I kept reading of wheel widths mentioned in inches--10 1/2", 11", etc. How is that indicated in the above number? Or is it? (I think I'm smart enough to realize that the 15 there means 15" wheel.)
4) Assuming I can go with the 235s, no mods, is there anything further I can do--or that you SUGGEST--to lift her a bit? Cheap and moderately expensive options? (Not expensive--married with children.)
5) What's the lug pattern on those 5 by stock wheel?
Thank you for coming to my thread.

2) A 235/75/15 is 29". A 205/75/15 is around 27" Yes, they will fit with no modifications. They "might" rub the frame a little on full lock, but this can be corrected by adjusting the steering stops, or just leave it because it doesn't really hurt anything for the amout you have it full lock.
Here's a quick tire reading explaination: 235 is the tire section width in millimeters. 75 is the aspect ratio for the sidewall height, it is a percentage of the section width. (75% of 235mm = sidewall height). 15 is the rim diameter in inches. To figure the height of a tire, you take the sidewall height, multiply by two, convert the millimeters to inches then add that number to the rim size.
3)Rim widths are typically 5.5", 6", 7", 8", 10" and even 12"+ These are not mentioned in the tire size number, but should be within reason to the tire section width.
4)If you're not driving off road, mount an agressive 235/75/15 on the stock rims and that should look masculine enough. A stock Samurai rim looks better than the Geo rims, and will also stick out .5" further on each side, also eliminating that rubbing on the frame ;)
5) 5x5.5" or 139mm

Wow--thanks for the lesson, man!
Yeah, the Geo rims are pretty gay-looking, but for now, I guess I'll live with them. Just gotta do something about that Geo LOGO.
So if I do want to adjust the steering stops, is that something easy for a mechanic--not me--to do? Also, perusing tires online at Wal-Mart, I see blackwall, raised white lettering, and an OWL classification. What's that OWL?

You could even do them, just look under your steering box and you'll see two bolts that act as stoppers.
OWL = Outlined White Lettering

Thanks--I really appreciate the information!
