Today I went and met Bioniconion half way between our houses. Even though we didn't get the chance to go wheeling yet, we did manage to spend 2 hours shooting the breeze about our trucklets. I found out he never posted pics of his Tracker yet because he doesn't have a digital. I happened to have mine with me, so I took a couple snaps to post up for him. He's running a 4 inch BL and 31's. Looks pretty good:

(I had to slip a couple of my Tracker in there, too!! lol) Once I get my nifty new rims refinished(thanks again, Bioniconion! ;)) and get over to National Tire to pick up my new Swampers, we're gonna try to get together and see how much mud we can get into! Don't worry though, I plan on taking plenty of pics as long as it isn't dark! That's the trouble with offroading this time of year, the days are so short, most trips into the woods end up being in the darkness! Oh well... I like his new tires, what do you guys think?
Oh, and BTW Jon, those rims turned out to be 3.5-3.75" backspacing. Just about perfect for my plans. They're already painted and drying in my garage! Thanks again. ;D

Glad to see another green softie with the same rot holes under the rear lamps as mine.........
-
you 2 shoulda traded keys for a trip around the block ... woulda been interesting to hear what you both thought of the difference in the mods you have.
Bioniconion was wearing some mud, where's yours digger :)
-
nice rides. just wish there were more around where i am, seeing as mine is the only lifted vit at the moment.
and dare i say it again, you both have black grilles..... whats going on? hehehe
looking forward to seeing your new wheels and tyres.
-
Well, my 215's don't throw as much mud up the sides as his 31 MT's do! Plus I haven't had mine out in the mud since doing the body lift yet... Beleive me, it has been muddy, darn rain washed most of it off! LOL!
I wonder if the color has anything to do with where it rusts out? The steel under my rear lamps is solid...
That would have been interesting to have traded keys for a spin around the block... maybe next time we get together, if he's up for it, that is...
-
skid ... I know I'm wearing a black grill since I got one off ebay for a reasnable price (replaces the "flappy" (aka busted) one I bought it with)

I thought all Trackers had that from the factory ;D
-
Hey Digger...good pics...are you going to fab up and sell those front bumpers? I really like the look of it :)
-
hehe yea thanks a ton for meeting me dig. im glad those rims working well for what you wanted. im going to try to find a body shop to patch up those holes under my tail lights because my uncle won't pass it on inspection with them. and my mud was 3 days old and through the rain hehe...i can't wait for more mud! :D
-
"S" in the grill, "Tracker" on the door. Finnally someone who can correctly call their rig a trackick ;) So which is it?
Brian
-
lol well it has the "s" on the front grill. geo on the hubs, tracker on the sides, tracker on the steering wheel cover, and almost all the engine parts say suzuki...so according to the police and my parking ticket *stupid friends street cleaning night* it was a chevy crossed out, then a suzuki he must not have realized suzuki doesn' tmake tracker lol

Suzuki didn't produce the Tracker? ???

Sounds like a dead ticket due to a technicality ;) Maybe I'd be able to use that excuse...Its an Asuna Sunrunner but it has Tracker on the stainless ;)

lol well i went wheeling tonight..hehe following a jeep that thought he was hot shit..he had 3 inch suspension lift and 31's. well all was going well until this one mud puddle. it didn't look that bad but when we came out it sounded like i had a 350 under the hood..hehe i came down on a rock in it and i sheered my cat in 1/2 and busted my whole exhaust off. lol i guess now im officially an offroader huh? :D i wanted to upgrade it anyway...now i don't have a choice :P :P :P :P :P

Mine had to custom rot holes there too but a little body work took care of that 8)
-
i sheered my cat in 1/2 and busted my whole exhaust off.
OOps! LOL! Sounds exactly like the reason I have a header on my trucklet now(except I split my downpipe and cracked the manifold)...
-
lol yeah...we luckily had a hatchet in the dudes jeep and a knife, we pulled the one exhaust hanger out but the other we had to cut and then beat it down with a hatchet to be able to slide the exhaust out. oh well..i always heard you never been wheeling till u broke something. hehe but i ordered my new exhaust so far. it's a raptor turbo muffler with 2.25 in and out. and i ordered my high flow cat with 2.25 in and out as well. now im just deciding on header. i really am having a hard time with this because i need one that'll keep my o2 sensor in tact and i don't want to spend a ton of loot on it. what all does everyone run?
-
I run Calmini, $191.20 shipped to my door...
-
calmini was out of stock... >:( so i ordered the hawk. it was like 230 plus 18 shipping i think. i needed one and needed a good one...too bad calmini

From the pics, it looks like your front tires are ever so slightly outside the wheelwell, do you have a lot of 'side debri' come off those tires?
In the rain, does it produce a mist where you can't see out your rear view mirror?
-
actually the tires do stick out a bit from the side fenders. not as much as i had hoped actually. i was planning on it throwing a lot more mud than it does. but i think part of the problem is i have an inch of toe in on the front. but the alignment shop i talked to said it's like over 300+labor for the fix, so i said screw it and ill just rotate the tires more :D but exhaust stuff still on the way...guess i oughta take my stocker stuff out before the new gets here.
-
I think they're giving you a line of bull.
I've adjusted my toe pretty easy just by eyeballing the tires front to rear and so far it seems to be good.
-
Adjusting toe is rather easy, though you need to get measurements opposite of each other.
Measure the distance on the back side of the tires across, with minimal deflection on the tape, being half way up the tire. Then take same measurement on the front of the tire, opposite across from the rear measurement. Difference being no more than 1/4", front being shorter. Each vehicle is a little different so 1/4" may be too little for the IFS.
-
Toe in should be about 1/64th of an inch
1/16 Max 1/4 is way too much

His tie-rod adjuster sleeves are frozen. Apparently the shop torched them until they were cherry red and they still wouldn't budge. I have a complete spare steering linkage assembly from one knuckle to the other, but he didn't seem too interested...lol!!
Jon, I'm ready for you, now! check out my new topic! LOL! ;)
-
alrighty neil im scheduled off next monday *one after thanksgiving* so if you can GET IT OFF! anyone in the south western pa region or close maybe we can get a small get together going! that would be SO KICK well...hehe im sure u get the point. but definately try to get off and we can go out...and we'll talk more about my tie rod adjustment sleeves..or rather the spares you have :D
-
Nice Tracker Bioniconion, I was wondering who you were. I saw you at the Wendys in Johnstown last week.
It looks like you bought my buddys Tracker and switched the lift and tires over to yours, looks good! the pics of your Tracker look like you and digger are in Ligonier. we need to get together and do some wheelin' now that i know that i'm not the only tracker in the area. Here's pic of my ride, it was the same color as yours till last year. let me know we'll get together some time.(http://bigrubbers4x4.8k.com/images/matt_dickert_95_tracker_040627-1.jpg)
-
hey man definately! actually we was in ligonier. im definately up for going out 4wheeling sometime. unfortuantely i didn't get any of my exhaust parts in today like i had hoped. but hopefully by wednesday ill have them all in and attached. glad to know there's another in town :D so far i think we have 3 in jtown that are runnable. my friends white and blue tracker had these tires until he smashed his tranny on a rock and he gave up on it =\
-
Friday or Saturday i'll be going up in the woods, let me know when you can go. Weekdays I work till 3:30 or 4:00 but it only takes me 5 min to get to the trails from my house.
-
ok cool man. my friday and saturday outtings will be decided on it i get my parts in and installed by then..if so ill probably be going out friday night after 11. i work till then so obviously i can't go :) do u normally go at night or durign the day?
-
I'm married, I haven't been out past dark in a long time!!! But it does sound like fun, lets make plans to meet somewhere. I have some other guys who will also want to go, so i'll check with them tomorrow.
-
alright cool man. im hoping my parts come in by friday night..if not ill be one mad zuke owner
-
ok well my header isn't scheduled for delivery until the 1st of december so it looks like im going to have to sit this one out *no driving* unless u all still want to go and someone wants to hook me up with a ride ;D
-
I guess we'll just wait till you get your parts, if you need a hand putting them on just let me know. I have a heated garage, with a nice selection of air tools and a welder if you don't have anywhere to do your repairs.
-
Well guys, if I'm off and available, count me in! Just be sure to let me know! Hopefully your header comes in earlier than scheduled. Keep me posted!:)
-
i could definately use a heated garage and the air tools would help a ton. to bad u don't have any bent tubing for my exhaust :D
